Some tribes in Africa, during the ‘naming ceremony” of a 3 year old child, will list off all the names of previous ancestors. When the child sneezes, that means that whatever ancestors name that was called at that time has now entered that child……so, be careful who you sneeze on, or at least cover your nose. No one wants your ancestors all over them.
Did you know that there are female circumcisions in some parts of Africa? Yeah, boo. They cut off the clitoris. Why God, why? In other tribes, if a woman wants achieve a higher status, she can request it. Ah hem, DO YOU NOT KNOW WHAT THAT PART OF THE BODY DOES? Why on earth would you want it taken away? Goo.
In Some tribes in Africa, the way to make a covenant between two men is to touch them underneath their thighs….and grab their balls. Personally, I would be satisfied with a handshake…maybe that’s just me.
Today was our first test and I am pretty sure I rocked it hard. But that is what I do, I am awesome. I have learned new songs recently. I have learned some of The Shins songs, and a Caedmon’s Call song. I am kinds stoked. I was asked to play next week at this missions banquet so I figured I would learn some new stuff. Kinda exciting.
My sister should be coming to visit…tonight maybe??? I am not entirely sure, but I think so. That is awesome. I have not seen her a loooong time. She just graduated with her Masters in Hydro Geology. yeah, I do not know what that is entirely either. you are not the only idiot.
This afternoon I am going to Africa….or something like it in someone’s back yard. Should be interesting.
Finally, does anyone know anything about post traumatic stress disorder??? what’cha got for me???
