the haps

oh. hay. i guess i have been existing.

the trend at work over the last four months has been for a senior developer to start a complicated project, bring me on to figure out a small piece while i am terribly busy with other things, then hand the whole thing off to me and go on vacation for a bit over a month. this is both a sign of and has given me a good opportunity to demonstrate my awesomeness, but also means that the last while has been on and off quite busy. the time i spend at work goes largely to fire fighting and vaguely lead-like tasks, though, in spite of having legitimate development tasks to do. after work i haven't really been sure where all of my time goes, but i haven't had a lot of it free.

more recently, i went to my vp-level-group's holiday party at the emp, which was for an office holiday party quite grand, or perhaps, was grand but full of folks from work. friday night clubbing has also been glorious, and the perfect foil against the accumulation of weekday stresses. today, jess and i made a delicious spanishy frittata with potatoes, onions, peppers, olives, and cheese. (... und keine eier! ...not really)

also, planning menus is almost as much fun as executing them. almost.

work, party, food, clubbing
