Megagamie Velvet Corduroy Pants in Red (S)

Hello babes! I bought Megagamie Velvet Corduroy Pants in Red (S) some time ago because I fell for its gold tone buttons and vibrant hue which I thought would be very CNY appropriate. Also, red/wine/oxblood/plum pants have been featured extensively as the new go-to basic.

Minor Quirks
The pants which are made in China didn't come with the Megagamie tag even though they are under their label. They arrived with a strong chemical dye smell which I suppose will fade off after wash. I hope the colour doesn't run though! If you don't have the habit of washing new clothes before the first wear, these pants may itch a little for those with sensitive skin

Pardon the slight scrunching in the pants above as they are slightly long for me but I didn't alter them!

The Good
In terms of cutting, they are quite similar to Cleo Stitch Jeans (still available in yellow at http://www.shopmegagamie.com/bottoms/pants/cleo-stitch-jeans-yellow) - in fact, based on the labels, I believe they come from the same factory. Compared to Cleo Stitch Jeans, I would say that the corduroy pants have a little more allowance overall and are more low waist though both pair of pants have the same slimming effect. Even though this pair of pants looks pretty casual, they can be suitable for work under the right tunic.

In conclusion, these are a keeper! I think MGG does long pants really well though their shorts always sell better somehow.

For info, I am UK 6/8, waist 25", standing at 1.58m.
