Mother Fuckin Snakes.

I just returned from seeing the long awaited "Snakes on a Plane". My review, I really liked it. I thought it was going to be a lot more campy, it was a legitimate movie. It had a plot, real characters, it just involved snakes on a plane. It was good though, I do recommend it. Just make sure that you're not afraid of gore, because there some tough scenes in it. My brother's girlfriend actually had to walk out during it.

My meeting/interview went really good. I was accepted into the school, depending on if I want to do it. The deal sounds nice. It's a ten month program, it's an accredited university, they offer great internships and there are a lot of famous people who graduated from there. It's a small school, a "specialized" school. The admissions officer told me he went to ISU for 5 years and couldn't get a job, because he had no hands on expierience. At this place there is no text books, all hands on learning. I'd be done with the program in ten months and I get job placement after.

I had to do a voice test, to they could judge my inflection, my breathing, volume, stuff like that. The guy who did said he loved it that I was upbeat and bubbly. Whatever it takes right?

Then I met with the financial aid officer there. I really like the school because it's so small. Only people who are serious about school go there. Not these hoity toity rich kids who are just doing it because Mom and Dad are paying for it. He gave me some forms to fill out and he said he's going to help me get money. I'm really impressed about how nice they were.

The school itself is amazing. It looks weird at first, since it's tucked away in a corner in Lombard, but they've got a lot of stuff to offer.

So what are you going to do Kristin Vanderbilt? Well, I REALLY want to go there. I've always thought about broadcasting, but the only schools that really offer that is Columbia and I'd rather shoot myself in the foot then go there (I have my reasons. Kevin HATED it and they screwed my brother on his loans and he still owes money). I could get a real job, which would be kind of nice. I'd network a lot and probably get to meet some cool people.

I do plan on still getting a degree in something else. If I choose to do this, I plan on graduating from there, getting a job and finishing up college. Probably getting my degree in Communications with a concentration in history. I have the rest of my life to go to school. Even after I get my BA, I think I might even want to get my Masters in history. The best thing is, I'll have money. Money that I get from doing something I enjoy.

I'll figure it out.

Tommorrow, I guess tonight, I plan on going to a birthday party from Brad Melody with Pat O. It made me laugh and think about when Pat and I used to be pretty tight. Part of me wants to go out and buy two 40 ounces of St. Ides, since that's what we used to do.

Those were the days....

PS- If you want to see mushy, check out the comment Kevin left me on MySpace. We're disgusting, really.
