The morning started out as all their mornings had on Vacation, a lazy cuddle and snuggle under warm covers before getting up to a family breakfast. After breakfast Berwald and Tino would go outside to clear the drive of overnight snow and then a lazy day playing board games or watching Christmas Movies in the family room. "Mummi, I have one for you." Tino added, holding out a wrapped gift to his grandmother. "Berwald actually was the one who made it. I tried and... well... failed so he kind of made me a new one so that I could paint it for you." He smiled, giving her a peck on the cheek. Inside was a bird house.
"Oh Ti it's very pretty, my little artist. I can't wait til spring so I can hang it out there for the birds. Who knows, maybe I'll get a nest with chicks." She smiled. "Thank you for helping him Peikko." She added, winking at Berwald.

It was simple but he knew Tino would use it often, he loved to curl up with a throw to watch television or read a book.

Tino scrambled over with the throw and pulled it tight around himself and cuddled in close to Berwald. "You are the best sulhaseni on the planet and I love every molecule in your big body." He cooed, snuggling in closer.
He got two more Moomin items from his parents and Mummi.
(Surprisingly, Tino had gotten Eeva the same lunch pail by coincidence!)

But the best present had come in the form of Tino saying yes to his proposal, he didn't need anything else.
Hell this was the first time he had even GOTTEN ANYTHING AT ALL for Christmas in a DECADE he felt spoiled rotten already.
Coat and boots practical and warm.
Dalahast beautiful art piece impractical but lovely
and Tino as a fiance.
Yup, this was officially the best Christmas ever!

Once it was pulled off it was a needle point piece, it was from one of those kits because it was signed in gold thread 'Mummi' and had the finishing touch gold needle pinned into it still.
"Gonna need that with you two making a house of your own." She chortled, her sister joining in with her as they shared a shit eating grin.
Tino had just finished giving his mother a perpetual calendar for her desk at work when he wandered over (on his knees as he was too lazy to stand back up) to see what she made for Berwald.
((Ignore the text on it I couldn't get it blanked. >3>))
"Aw Mummi that's cute." Tino cooed. He'd dragged over three more gifts. "These are the last three I got you, I know it's probably a lot but they're little things and I really wanted to spoil you because you haven't had a Christmas present in years and I really wanted to make up for as many years as I possibly could." He said and then took a big gulp of air as that had been spewed out all in one breath.

"That is nice." He said dabbing a bit on his neck. "So Do I stink okay?" He asked Tino with a grin.

"I know you, you want a snowman don't you?" Berwald asked setting his gloves and cologne next to the dala horse and needlework on the coffee table.

"We should try to make one as big as you." He cooed, his eyes lighting up with all sorts of crazy creative ideas for what they could do with nature's sculpy out there.

All the presents were finally doled out, food was being raided again, and Berwald went upstairs to put their booty away in their bedroom. He was humming a low tune... rather surprisingly WELL.
He was usually so quiet it was rare to have him humming, he had a nice mellow deep bass and if he actually sang he'd probably be very GOOD.
He was setting his Dala horse on the Window Sill to look at on display until it was time to pack and head home again in a couple of weeks.

Tackling Berwald to the floor and molesting him hadn't been proper enough? Apparently the tiny little fella didn't feel it was.

When the broke apart Berwald took Tino's left hand and ran his thumb over the ring sitting perfectly on his ring finger.
"Swedish Gold, with Stones the color of the Finnish Flag. Seven stones, one for every year I have loved you until the day I marry you." Berwald explained the hidden meaning of the ring resting on his betrothed's hand.

"You are, in more ways than I can count, probably the most creative, most thoughtful and most sensitive man on the planet. And it's all kind of bundled up under one incredibly macho mass of tendons and sinew." He grinned as her wrapped his arms around Berwald's shoulders and buried his face into the cologne dabbed neck.
"Really, I did nothing to deserve you, nothing that I ACTIVELY tried to do anyway. Never go thinking you have to earn anything from me. Not love, not hugs-" he gave his giant squeeze, as tight as he could! "Not kisses either." He added, smacking his lips against the Swede's and making his favorite sloppy-kisses hum. "Mmmmmmmmmmhua~!"
"I knew I wanted us to be together for the rest of our lives, but I guess I completely forgot marriage. Now, though, it's really concrete. Not just 'I want us to be together the rest of our lives' but 'we ARE going to be together the rest of our lives' this is so damn cool I can't wait to tell Siguard and Mads and Feliks!" He cheered, throwing himself over on his side. "Feliks will be the one to spaz out about this I know it." He grinned, imagining his eccentric transvestite friend's reaction in his head.

"We can have it over the summer break after your senior year and when we go back for college, you'll be a married man..." He added, his eyes were dreamy with envisioning their nuptials in his head.
"I love you so much. I'd marry you tomorrow if I could."

"I would never, not for all the Moomins in moominland, wear a wedding DRESS... ... ... it would have to be something super big to convince me to part with my masculine dignity. But you seem to have my outfit planned right down to the colors. Tell me something." He whispered the last part and got down low so their noses were touching. "Don't tell me how long you've planned to propose to me, but how far back do your fantasies of us being together for the rest of our lives go? I'll tell you, I've had them since shortly after our first video chat with my parents. I didn't humor it too much, because I was still giving myself romantic probation, but it wasn't too long after that did I come to realize that it was perfectly okay for me to fantasize about it. Course, I forgot to add marriage, but I remember the first time I thought of being together with you forever. I fantasized about making you breakfast and kissing you goodbye before going to work. Even the corny tie straightening on the way out the door."

It still took his breath away to think about. Tino loved him. Tino was going to marry him.
"Don't forget our bet. You're the wife Except for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day... you're halfway through your stint as Husband." Berwald teased pressing Tino's nose with his finger.
