Heading "Home" for the Holidays...

Jun 03, 2011 01:43

Berwald was packing his very small suitcase. He had absolutely no warm clothes worth bringing to Finland. He dressed in his warmest sweatshirt and jeans and had every intention of buying a parka in the duty free airport shop when they landed. He'd shop for winter clothes once he got to Finland.

He was nervous, sure he had talked to Tino's family on video chats dozens of times. They even insisted he drop the Mrs. and Mr. formalities ages ago. They were now affectionately referred to Ti-Mamma and Ti-Pappa and of course Mummi who would accept nothing less than Mummi. But this was the first time he'd meet them face to face and Tino couldn't keep a poker face if you paid him, they would know in five seconds flat that he and Tino were making love regularly, as in every day since Tino's birthday, which had gone so fabulously well it would be forever burned into Berwald's mind. It kept getting better too... a lot better with practice.

He closed his suitcase and carried it out to the foyer, the cab would be by to take them to the ferry in about 30 minutes. "You ready yet Askling?" Berwald called to Tino who was in the kitchen making what looked like enough sandwiches to feed an army. And what looked like enough doggy treats to make Hana gain 15 pounds.

"Ti they serve food on the plane. It's a 13 hour flight. I plan on sleeping most of it so I can get on Finnish Time. We arrive 9 AM Finnish time. I want to be rested and minimized jet lag if i can." Berwald added as he got Hana's leash and carrier ready.
