Last night I went to LIGALY with Stephanie and a couple of her friends. You are an Extremely beautiful, intelligent, loving person. You are your own, whole person. It is Completely his loss. You would have drowned so badly... I love you, I'm so glad you know it's not your fault. You need to Always know that, because it was Never your fault, none of it was. I don't know why they think it was, but they're Wrong. I don't understand people sometimes, but don't listen to them, and don't let them get to you and make your brain believe otherwise. You are Blueberry, and that's the best compliment anybody can ever give you.
Go to the gay prom, it's okay if your parents know. You're leaving anyway, what's a few days' difference? You will have to live with them with them knowing anyway, when you come back from camp, and from college, and every time you see them. "Pass the ketchup, I'm gay." "I'm going to this gay prom. I'd rather go with my girlfriend, but she's in Pennsylvania." "I'm not getting a job over break because I want to spend time with my girlfriend 'cuz she lives so far away." (Just examples.)
That is a wonderful mode for you, that 'do things and create and be' mode, with life behind it. There must be a reason you have to go here. Instead of trying to figure out what it is, just assume that it's there somewhere and that all you do there is part of it. Then let it teach you things. Explore, have fun! There's so much for you to discover, take advantage of it. Don't do the stupid freshman college thing, you're right you don't need it. You can show other people how to connect things, since they already know. Your influence will really help them learn how to do that.
You will so be a kick ass counselor, I wanna be one of your campers!!!
