I am a big fan of The Body Shop. I've used their shower gels and scrubs for years. Their Aloe Lip Care and Vitamin E oil are some of my favorite skincare products too. They've recenty released a new line called Smoky Poppy and when I saw Anna from Vivianna Does Makeup talk about the shower gel, I just knew I had to get it. I switch up my shower gels quite a lot and right now I have about four in my bathroom and one is about to run out (Soap and Glory Rich and Foamous). While I do have a backup of the S&G one, I thought I needed to try a new one.
If you've tried any of the TBS shower gels then you know that the formula is just perfect. It lathers up nicely (I like to use the TBS shower puff too) and it moisturises the skin. The scent of this is exactly as it is described in the site, a seductive floral scent. It's different from the usual fruity light scents of the other range. I also like that it's color black too but doesn't stain the tiles.
Makeup wise, I can't say I've tried a lot of products from the brand. But the ones I have tried, I ended up using a lot. My favorites are the eyebrow duo with the wax and powder, the Color Crush lipstick and the eyeshadow quad. This time I got a lip and cheek product called Lip & Cheek Velvet Stick in 40 Poppy Red. This color is just as the name says -- a standard poppy red that gives a nice flush to cheeks when used as a blush and on the lips creates a stained red shade. The texture is perfectly velvet which makes it great as a blush but not so bad as a lip product too. I thought it would be drying because of the velvet texture but it's very comfortable on the lips. It also comes in an interesting grape color, a barbie pink and a peach.
