New from Forever 21 Beauty
It's always hit or miss for me when it comes to the beauty line of Forever 21. While I love the eyeshadows that I got from them and my nail polish collection is growing - shades here, there are some products that I just can't get with (their lip glosses and lip lacquer are too sticky and heavy on the lips). Over the holidays though, they released a lot of beauty products and I once again bit the bullet and came home with three products:
I got the Eyeliner Pencil Set (6 mini pencils in all), luminizer and shimmer powder. My favorite of the bunch is the eyeliner set. This set was less than P500 I think and it has such a nice range of colors as you can see in the swatch. It's also very creamy so you don't need to tug when you apply it on your lids. It's pigmentation is super nice, you don't need to go back and forth to build up the color. The black is probably my least used color because I have so much fun using the other liners. I use the cream ones for my inner corner and waterline, the brown and pomegranate one for softer daytime looks and the gray one looks great with my charcoal contacts. The only problem I have is that I haven't found a sharpener for these tiny pencils. Haha! I'm hitting the bookstores for that.
My second favorite was the gold shimmer powder (look at that pretty packaging!). Don't be scared of the bold gold color, it's actually doesn't deposit that much shimmer and you have to really build it up. Which I think is a good thing because with highlighting, you don't need a lot of product. A little bit of shimmer does a lot. I actually got this because I wanted to get the The Balm Mary Lou-minizer which is a pretty highlighter. I've swatched it a couple of times and it is a beautiful product. This Forever 21 shimmer powder is different from that but I think the golden color it gives has the same look.
The Luminizer is something I want to learn how to use. Haha! It's very pretty as you can see in the swatch. But I don't really know how to use it. Is it a bronzer? Do I mix it with my foundation? I haven't figured it out yet but I just really love the idea and color of the product. Maybe I'll use it as an eyeshadow? I'll let you know when I finally use it.
