Tone it down
I've always had oily skin but lately I think it has gotten really, really OA. Maybe it's the food I eat but most probably it's because I haven't been taking care of my skin. The only skin care regimen I do is washing my face every night and the once in a while facial. Malamang that's not enough since I wear make-up every day. Last night, before going home I decided to drop by Robinson's Pioneer. Would you believe I've never been inside that mall eh halos isang tumbling lang yun from our apartment? Hehehe. Since maaga pa naman, I decided to walk around the mall first. Syempre makakaalis ba ako ng mall ng walang binibili?
Pond's Oil Solution Toner
All I wanted to buy was some oil control film but these were in the same aisle so binili ko na din. I wanted to buy the Nivea toner since my mom swears by the product but I've been using Pond's facial wash since highschool and my skin responds well to the product. So I went with Pond's na lang. I've never used a toner before because I still have this mental image of my mom using Eskinol every night. So akala ko pang nanay lang ang toners. Turns out toner helps clean the face by eliminating the dirt that are deeply embedded in the skin. Dirt that facial wash alone cannot remove (read: Matinding dumi!). It also removes dead skin cells and minimizes the pores.

So last night, after removing my make-up and washing my face, I used the Pond's Oil Control toner with a facial pad (I like to use a facial pad instead of cotton balls). Then put on my moisturizer. In fairness, when I woke up this morning, my face isn't as oily as before. I used it again this morning (sans moisturizer, nakalimutan ko maglagay!) and my officemate said she liked how even my face looks today. Sabi ko nagtoner kase ako ngayon. I dunno kung may connect. Hehehe
The verdict: I've been using it for a day and it's already delivering results! This is going to be part of my daily beauty regimen from now on.
