I finally got an answer, and like I said before, they are doing the special girls series not for the girls, but to avoid the disappointment for boys should they ever get something girly like rings and necklaces in their eggs. They'd be devastated! HEARTBROKEN!
The Kinder Überraschung has been around in Germany since 1974, the original Kinder Sorpresa since 1972 and it's been a more or less unisex toy all this time.
Raise your hand if you were ever traumatised, because you got one of the boy's toys like race cars or a bulldozer instead one of the pretty flowers or cute animals. Yeah, I wasn't always happy with what I got, but if I got over it I bet boys can, too.
