Deposits!
So Josh and I are sending in the deposits for our Photographer and DJ today! We got the contracts filled out, and the checks written last night and Josh will be mailing them today from work. Goodbye $1,300. Josh groaned as he wrote the checks, but later admitted that he was happy to write them and secure those vendors.
I'm very excited about both of them. They're both really cool and will fit right in, and create (and capture) the mood we're trying to create.
So, thats two more things to cross off our lists.
So far, we've booked the first of the people we've met with so far (Location, DJ, Photographer).
We have a meeting this weekend with a Florist who I really liked over the phone - and if our trends continue, I bet we'll end up booking her too. I hope she doesn't require a big deposit.
We have a meeting with a makeup artist as well, though I think I might look for someone who does makeup AND hair.
