Not doing it alone.

Many lives had been plagued by the feeling of not being able to be good enough, not finding rest or comfort or a way out. You know the point: you cannot do it alone. Going though life alone and for oneself is not living. That is one of the central teachings of Christianity. The Bible says, in Matthew 16:25-27 (KJV), “For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.” Life is not about living for you, but for living for God.

God says, “I have carried you since you were born; I have taken care of you from your birth. Even when you are old, I wil be the same. Even when your hair has turned gray, I will take care of you.” ([Meaning]- Psalm 139:1-18, Rick Warren). You are never alone. You only have to realize who is with you always.

“We don’t see things the way they are, we see things the way we are.” Anais Nin. Hopeless problems arise when we fail to see the presence of Jesus. Everything is for naught if we do not accept Him, if we do not accept that we owe everything to Him, and if we do not realize that He is always watching.

“C.S. Lewis said, ‘There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, “Thy will be done”, and those to whom God says, “All right then, have it your way.” Tragically, many people will endure eternity without God because they chose to live without him here on earth.” - Rick Warren.

“You, Lord, give perfect peace to those who keep their purpose firm and put their trust in you.” Isaiah 26:3 (TEV).

“It is impossible to do everything people want you to do. You have just enough time to do God’s will. If you can’t get it all done, it makes you’re trying to do more than God intended for you to do…” -Rick Warren.

“Without God, life has no purpose, and without purpose, life has no meaning. Without meaning, life has no significance or hope. In the Bible, many different people expressed this hopelessness. Isaiah complained, ‘I have labored to no purpose; I have spent my strength in vain and for nothing.’ Job said, ‘My life makes no sense.’ The greatest tragedy is not death, but life without a purpose.” -Rick Warren.

You were designed to live eternally. Life on this earth is “but a small parentheses in eternity” -Sir Thomas Browne. What you do in the time given to you will determine what you do in eternity. Everything is nothing without God. Jesus is God.

I do not tell you these things to hurt you. Rather, I say them out of love. I am still learning. I am not perfect, nor will I ever be during my life here on this earth. Some of you may ignore me because I speak of Christ, the only God, the God that you may have been trying to live without for too long.

Being Christian does not mean being “closed-minded” in the negative connotation of the phrase. Rather, it means being “closed-minded” to all but God’s Word (The Bible), and the Word made flesh (Jesus).

Please do not judge Christianity by my failings, or the failings of others in the faith, for NONE can be perfect on this earth where sin still lasts. Only when this world is destroyed and a new world, for those that followed God, will we be perfect. Perfection is indefinable. Eternity is indefinable. We cannot fully comprehend either because we are clouded by sin. All we know for certain is what has been revealed to us in the infallible Word of God (The Bible).

By accepting Christ, when we die His blood will free us of our sins. We are hopeless alone. All that is good came from God. You owe all happiness to Him, and you owe every sadness to yourself. God is always there. By coming to Him and confessing your sins you will be free of them eternally, and the weight of them while you are still alive will be lighter in on your heart (mind).

I love you, friends. If I did not love you I would not bother telling you these things. As a Christian, I am obligated (and glad to follow God’s commandment) to love you as I love myself. “And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.” Luke 10:27 (King James Version).

P.S. I am stating what I believe to be right according to the religion I believe to be correct (Christianity) and according to the text of that religion (the Bible). Not one human can understand fully the message of God (excepting perhaps the apostles who were given the understanding of the parables of Jesus about the Kingom of Heaven, but that's another story). I could be way of base on a lot of things (in fact, I'm sure I am) not necessarily in this blog... I'm don't believe myself to be perfect (stated again for clarity). Believe what you want to believe about Christianity, about the world. You will have to make the decision by yourself. You have free will. I'm not trying to push anything on anyone. I'm just expressing my faith and what it has taught me.
