Sherie Rene Scott to play Ursula in The Little Mermaid on Broadway
Funny, I would've cast her as Ariel...Ursula seems a little...well, different...for her. Maybe she's "too old" for Ariel...but I don't really care because I love Sherie so much that I will likely end up seeing it regardless, if at all possible. Plus, it's Menken...although I do kind of take issue (as I always do with Disney) that there is so much song recycling going on. On the other hand, though, The Little Mermaid has been my favorite forever, like seriously "Ariel" was one of my first words...so I'm kind of obligated.
