So it’s a long story, but I ended up really hungry and not near any food except for a Super 88 market (for non-locals, a chain of large Asian grocery stores). It’s dangerous walking down the Japanese candy aisle when you’re hungry. But guess what they had? Roasted chestnuts! In a little foil bag, as if they were candy! Yum. I had them as I was waiting for the train, and they kept body and soul together a while longer.
When I got home, I had a new CPAP mask waiting for me. I don’t think it’s going to make my CPAP treatment any more effective (current level of effectiveness is approximately “not enough”, as I just told my doctor in email), but it will definitely be more comfortable and hopefully fix the big red marks and occasional scarring on the bridge of my nose. Yay! Oh, and I also got a chinstrap, so that I can pretend to be a
chinstrap penguin hopefully start using the nose-only mask again from time to time, too.
On my way home I stopped in to say hi to Chickenfinger (
cathijosephine’s cat), and while I was there I got a message from
sionnagh, so I called her back and we did some planning for my Hawai‘i trip this month. Yay, it’s going to be fun! I get to meet a good friend of hers I’ve never met, and we’re going to have a games night.
OK, sleepy-time now.
