I need a full-body suit to get through all this BS
I'm getting sick of all the bullshit that's been flying around at work. I've been patient, gracious, hard-working and mature with everything that has transpired over the last ten days. And I'm still being made out as the bad guy!
Please read the following "letter of resignation":
"Hey All:
Carol felt the some of you would benefit from a clarification of my status at the pool and I agreed. If you don't really care, by all means hit delete now. Otherwise: I have, for personal reasons, removed myself as head guard and from the leadership team as well. I will not be involved in policy making or supervising daily operations. I will be teaching, filling in where I can and working on pool projects. The fact that Cherise introduced me to the lifeguard class as the Mills Handyman (lol) must mean I'm off to a brilliant start as I spiral down the ladder of success. See you around the pool......."
Let's pick it apart shall we?
First: Using our director as the sole reason to let the staff know about their resignation. Own your actions AND their consequences!
Second: "If you don't really care, by all means hit delete now." ?!?!?!?! Really? Victimizing yourself is pathetic and fishing for Poor Baby comments is childish. I'd delete that entire sentence.
Third: Slapping ME in the face about a comment that we'd discussed and that I'd already apologized for (yesterday, in fact) and throwing it out to let the entire staff know is completely unprofessional and insulting. Now, everyone's going to think that I'm a jerk and that I might have tried to steal the position of head lifeguard.
Fourth: Spiraling down the ladder of success? What success? If you're going to downplay all your accomplishments, then maybe you really aren't fit to be a leader.
This is un-fucking-believable! It's bull...shit...absolute BULLSHIT!
This morning, as we were going over Career Development in our lifeguarding class, they said, "Cherise is our head lifeguard. She BEGRUDGINGLY accepted and dealt with the responsibilities." WTF?! Aaaaaahhhh!
