Challenge #26 - End of the World

Jun 12, 2004 17:28

The world is ending tomorrow. What do you do today? The world ending tomorrow? That would sure put a damper on my To-Do List.... and would surely take all the fun out of it. But this is a relatively simple question to answer ( Read more... )

My predecessor mentioned you to me-it appears that you and I share a goal. Why are you interested in dealing with TKR?

*eyes the car for a moment*

*then, simply* For revenge.

Then you and I share a goal and a motive. Interesting.

*raises an eyebrow* Oh really? Interesting, indeed.

*considers* I never really thought I'd ever have anything in common with a computer.

I was not expecting to have all that much in common with you, either. I was not told much about you. But finding another who wants to destroy TKR out of revenge is a pleasant surprise.

I have to admit that you're one of few who have not taken an instant dislike toward me as soon as I open my mouth... even if you are just a computer.

You have done nothing to me. Yet. Disliking you, when you have the same goals as I do, without cause would be foolish.

That's good to know.

*looks the car over again* It is interesting to finally see you in person. The Knight Reformulation One, right? The creation I had once been hired to replace...

Yes. KRO, if you prefer. You were involved in working with my replacements?

*his gaze becomes a bit distant*

One of them, yes.

And now you wish to get rid of them, including the replacement you worked with? Interesting. Very interesting.

I think this common goal may work to both of our advantages.

Nothing would please me more than destroying that disgrace of a machine that I created. *expression darkens* And the rest of TKR can go to hell because they were created by her.

*mildly curious* Her? I have been trapped for the past six years, and it appears that my number targets has grown. I am still attempting to find out exactly how many I need to kill. Your attempts at destruction have not gone as planned, either?

*tightly* Nicole Maris. Knight Industries' head technician, creator of the five TKR vehicles, once my girlfriend. She betrayed me. Betrayal cannot go on unpunished.

My creation failed, and she took my dream away.

*suddenly* My attempts at destruction in the past were too weak and not planned out enough. But I learn from my mistakes, and I get better.

I did not know her. But I do not know about betrayl. The Foundation lied to Martin and I, and betrayed us. And no, it cannot. Revenge against such things never can, despite what some may say...

What were your mistakes? I have already made my own; I do not wish to repeat others'. I simply want to cause TKR as much grief as possible, then destroy them.

*quietly, through clenched teeth* I should have killed Zephyr when I first had the chance. That was my first mistake right then and there.
