This weekend a I traveled with some of my wife’s friends to the “Rally to Restore Sanity” near the Washington Monument. John Stewart first joked about the crazy divisions within America’s political rhetoric and then got serious that despite it all American’s can get along and not just angrily lash out at each other with undeserved and inflammatory labels. I enjoyed the trip and liked the messages, mainly because it makes me think about my own tendency to fall into unhelpful rhetoric about the side of the political spectrum I don't tend to appreciate. It's hard for me to admit that but it is true.
