Anniversary Trip Part 1
Destination: Cape Cod, Provincetown,
Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard

Looking back on my childhood, I've come to realize that I probably wasn't as bright as what my parents gave me credit for. It's as if I had a natural talent for being unaware of my surroundings, wandering around (likely eating something) in a gluttonous stupor. Had I paid any attention during one of our annual family trips, I would've realised something was rather odd about this particular destination: there were hardly any women, and the men who crowded the streets were a rather happy bunch - laughing, hugging, and even holding hands. But of course, I didn't notice any of these things at the very indifferent and non-judgmental age of 12.

Fast-forward 17 years, I'm still a clueless mess wandering around in a gluttonous stupor. However, my indifference and non-judgment still remains, as a result of good sense and being an all-around decent human being. And thankfully I married an equally all-around decent human being who thinks the same way.

I mean....who doesn't like rainbows, beaches, boats and seafood, right?

When I think of bed & breakfasts, I think of a screaming Borat running away from the House of Jews. Luckily, there weren't any rogue cockroaches crawling into the room, and I don't recall seeing any framed photos of creepy-looking rabbis. But nevertheless, our first time staying at a bed & breakfast was rather pleasant (minus the eccentric innkeeper who refused to serve us breakfast before 8am!).

Instead of throwing sneakers at power lines,
the residents apparently throw Mardi Gras beads.

What a fun town, huh?

Nature's aphrodisiac.
