Just some news

I'll not bore you with much prior to today.

I recently moved to Lowell, AR where I am currently working on getting some work under contract. Today I went and passed out a bunch of flyers in a sub-division that had houses with all brick or stone exterior, which would be complimented wonderfully with the decorative concrete overlays which we specialize in.

It was sweltering this afternoon so I decided to take a break from that and see what I could about getting the air conditioning going in the truck.

Another thing that made it more miserable was that my clothes weren't suitable for the occasion. (Jeans were too tight and shirt too thick).

Now that things are cooling down some I'll go on out and do some outside work.

It has been frustrating finding work around here that pays a good enough wage to live on.

I do know that God is in control of the situation though and I'm praying that He'll bless my efforts.

Part of my frustration is with myself because I have a hard time saying no to people even when they're better off than I am which usually puts me on the short end of the stick.

This morning I was reading in Psalms and the first couple of verses were like a breath of fresh air. I'm praying that God will give me the wisdom to say no when I need to and yet be giving at the same time with what he has blessed me with.

Ps 41:1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.

Ps 41:2 The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.

In conclusion the fact that we all are faced with is that apart from God's blessing on our efforts there is nothing we can do to fix our own problems.
