i stepped on a clipboard and my foot is killing me
so yes, i did step on a clipboard and my foot IS killing me. i had to walk on tiptoe on one foot all day long. my site director, mr. merrit laughed when he heard me tell the story. i laughed too. it was about the funniest the excuse to have to hop around on one foot. after screaming for 3 periods "go sixth grade" and taking pictures on 1 1/2 feet of the 6th & 7th grade olympics, i went down to the 8th grade to take pictures. and then after lunch, i was back taking pictures of jeopardy,w hich all of my kids got the social studies questions right. then back to elective, and then assembly, faculty meeting...and happy hour with kemba logan, a 36 year old black woman laywer-turned teacher who is fantastic. i wasn't sure about her when i first met her but she is awesome and i love her now. we spent about 3 hours hashing it out at tgi friday's and plotting up ideas. sounds like a busy day? yeah, i barely got a breath in, i was going pretty nonstop today. most days are like that. busy busy. but thats good. if i take a moment to stop and think, my mind starts thinking negative things and life doesn't seem so much fun anymore. but i just let things happen without thinking, life is a whole lot more fun. of course i have to recharge - i can't do that forever, but it still is good.
this summer basically has been a day like today. good, fun, different, and busy. i'm stressed over this stupid yearbook and its annoying me more and more, but certainly its a whole lot easier and aim high is a lot better than it ever was. my site directior alone is fun and awesome at discipline. i'm having a good time. he laughs at me in a way that i know he doesn't mean any harm and it makes me laugh too. laughing is always a good thing. i wish i could have these people at my school. im so sick of hazlewood people - well just the politics. i'm sick of titler and her comments and everyone obsession with fritz. *sigh* anyways, its been fun and it always refreshes me for the next year. i'm actually somewhat cool this year (though im losing cool points) but i'm not the most hated teacher ever. i don't feel like social studies is the worst subject.
in two weeks this program will be over. in one week the yearbook will be done whether i like it or not.
i'm not allowed to layout the yearbook on the 4th, which is a good policy. i'm going to stick to that. i'm going to layout majorly saturday and sunday and figure out how i'm going to have layout on my computer and joe & sonny's computer since ill have lots of time to lay it out all week at school so i don't want to waste that time - but i also don't want to crash my computer. it's either going to be to bring my external harddrive back and forth each day with all my layout on there or my ipod....but i think my external harddrive is better. we'll see...but i have to figure that out.
well time to go....chill out and watch sex and ithe city! whoooo!!!
