I was born and raised in Portland, Maine. I'm still here today, but I have much greater desires. I love this place, but I'm sure there are other places that I could love just as much, at least for a little while. It's not that I want to leave Portland, I just think it would be better for me to "expand my horizons", so to speak.
You all know me as "Bengee", but my real name is Benjamin Louis Philip Baker. My two middle names belong to my mothers late father, Louis Philip Conley. He was a man of great intelligence and humorous behaviors, the type of guy that could get a laugh out of you no matter what mood you were in. He passed away on March 29th, 1994, just one day before my fifth birthday.
[PARAGRAPH REMOVED]
In 2007, I graduated from Portland High School. Which for me is a very close second when it comes to big achievements in my life. First being, when I came out at the start of my freshman year in high school. I worked very hard to get that diploma, and I am very proud of myself for it. I'm probably just as proud to have made it as far as my sophomore year of college. I had never intended to go to college, but I will be starting my second year in the fall.
As far as my personality goes, I'm pretty laid back. I'm very responsible, and I have been for a long time. I came out at a young age and kind of forced myself to grow up. I can't tolerate people that are selfish, judgmental, or uncaring. Although, I tend to find myself in situations where people are walking all over me, because they're exactly that. They take complete advantage of me because I'm a caring and selfless person, also known as a pushover. I enjoy helping people, but not when they take advantage of me. I'm also kind of straight edge, meaning that I don't do and never approve of or tolerate drug use. I smoke cigarettes and drink from time to time but if you're doing anything other than that, don't count on me sticking around. I find drug abuse to be absolutely intolerable, disgusting, and unnecessary.
I would give everything to help someone. I think that there is far too much wrong with this world, and not enough people tending to certain issues. Americans are so worried about themselves, that they don't see what's happening around them. Poverty, AIDS, Global Warming, Discrimination, Violence, etc. These issues could be helped or even solved, with some effort. I'm a very caring person and I have a huge heart. To me, wealth is not about money... it's about making other people happy. If you can bring a smile to someones face just once every day, you're the wealthiest person in the world. You don't need money to be happy. Money is power, and that's an entirely different story.
For now,
<3XOXO
