No more Sierras trek

Jul 17, 2008 18:20

As you might guess by the fact that I have internet access, I am no longer in the Sierras as planned. I'll write more when I'm less depressed about it. For now, suffice to say that we are home safe, and chose to abort the trip due to bad weather, malfunctioning gear, and my bad knees.

If the alternate location you are in is the Bay Area, then maybe we could have hugs and a meal or something as a consolation prize? I'm in SJ from now until Thursday.

That sounds nice. I'm in Palo Alto for the moment. Let's talk tomorrow.

:) It's okay. There will be more opportunities.

Well, at least you didn't get stuck in the bad weather under less than ideal circumstances. Could have been much worse! Look on the bright side! :) Maybe you can take your remaining time before teacher training to do something else equally awesome! There are tons of things that you can do with the extra time in that part of the world!!!! =)

It sounds like you will be in SF just after I will be there. I hope that you have an awesome time with your teacher training! *big hugs*

It's true, there are lots of other things we can do. We'll probably go on a rock climbing trip instead. When will you be in SF? I'm in Palo Alto right now and will be for a while unless Adam and I actually get another trip planned. Thanks for the nice thoughts.

I'll be in SF July 26 - Aug 1st.

If you haven't already, you might want to check out Big Sur for at least a day or two. Definitely one of the most gorgeous places that I've seen yet! =)

I love Big Sur! I was actually going to go there a couple weeks ago, but Highway 1 was closed due to forest fires. Hopefully the area is still okay.

Down with knees! They tend to put a stop to me as well.
