I've drawn fanart. It's ridiculous and I still can't colour to save my life, but I figured what the hell, since I'm going nowhere with the other images I've got in my head because I can't just conjure up a model to crouch for me so I can figure out angles, proportions and perspective - although Make Human has helped a lot - and photographing yourself has a lot of limitations - like a lack of telekinesis meaning some angles are just impossible.

So here it is, the Cas!Fish in all his glory.



Sickle's Brief Review of Doctor Who's "The Curse of the Black Spot", 6x03:

• Moffat, even though you said in the Confidential that there's some things you have to have if you're going to be doing pirates, you shouldn't let your writers put them all in or the episode will be a walking cliche of meh.
• Captain: "This is the treasure of the Mogul of India."
  Doctor: "Oh good. For a moment there I thought it was yours."
  I loved their banter!
• Doctor: "Please ignore all of my theories up to this point."
  Captain: "What, again?"
  I love how the Doctor was a proper scientist, constantly re-evaluating his theories and perfectly okay with throwing them out the window if they proved to be rubbish.
• Captain: "I'm confused!"
  Doctor: "Yeah, well, it's a big club. We should get a T-shirt."
  Yes we should, Doctor. We can hang it right up next to our "I love posee" shirt. Everyone who watched 6x01-02 should wear this shirt.
• The "she's in the reflections! cover everything!" panic seemed incredibly familiar and thus far from amazing until I finally remembered Supernatural's "Bloody Mary". Although, nothing ever made me as scared of mirrors as Candyman did. Hey, you watch it in a house with a wall-sized mirror in the bathroom.
• Doctor: "Two planes, two worlds. [...] They collide and you can step from one to the other."
  Oh hai season 6 arc! Also, I was ridiculously pleased with how similar this was in concept to my fanfic, Stonehenge Antimony. \o/
• In conclusion, Rory almost dies, again, the Doctor doesn't interfere (like Future!him asks them not to for his own death), Amy looks great as always and moves the season arc along with brief glimpses, and I don't care that I'm underwhelmed because HOLY LIVING SQUEE NEXT EPISODE IS NEIL GAIMAN EPISODE THE SQUEEEEEEEE.
• PS: I miss Canton. More Canton, please.
