46 Degrees South

May 28, 2009 13:41

After what seems like days and days of driving across the South Island of New Zealand, we have decided to have a low key day today with not much to do besides shopping and hanging out at bartok's house. It's nice to be north again and have some warmer weather. As this picture shows, it was quite cold down South. I may start making a picture post later if I get bored. The problem is that we only have one laptop between richie73 and I and we are constantly letting the other use it. So, it may have to wait until we get back to the States.

Here we are at the most southern spot of the South Island. Bluff, New Zealand is the farthest south any of us have been on the planet.

It has been a fantastic holiday. Nevertheless, I'm ready to go home. Thankfully, we've got great company to spend time with to distract from the homesick feelings and missing warmth!
