A "Fourth" Like No Other (Remember, it's actually INDEPENDENCE Day)
Hello Fourth of July! The fireworks from Vancouver are supposed to show on KGW but they seem to be having severe audio difficulties. Perhaps they should've not attempted a newscast on CW 32 at the same time. I still can't hear their anchors. Oh, and Macy*s in NYC had a lot better music. I mean really, do we have to hear "Proud to be an American" and "Coming to America" every year at these cheesy western fireworks spectaculars?!?
Today involved some alcohol consumption, but alas, no, not in public parks and not beer. (well, just one sip- but does that count?)
Today was sparked by myself getting up around 9 am. AlexJon spent the night so he could be nearby when (YAY YAY YAY!) Jameth (the Oracle), Christopher575 and BadRobot68 arrived. We started watching TV while mostly tinkering on our PCs. "The Price is Right" comes on at 10 but no Rachael Ray Show today, Wimbledon instead. The Oracle and posse arrived around 10:30 or so, after asking for directions. Well no... it was a bit later (checked the e-mail directions sent time - 10:51 am). I got in the shower and they arrived while I was rinsing.
Okay, I am going to have to go back to bed because it is late for me. ("got to be at work by [seven]")- Manic Monday
I will try to finish this up soon. Call from ckluv76 interrupted the flow.
