Robert and I headed off in the snow to see The Hobbit last weekend (it's taken a week to post this).  He's the alpha Tolkien fan in our household who's read LoTR several times; I'm at best a fellow traveller, having gotten through it once (and trying again). 
However, I'd greatly enjoyed the Hobbit, and had re-read it, to remind myself of the story ( Read more... )

Last week I made a rare foray to the movies with goncalves and pogbody, to see Skyfall. I can count on one hand the number of movies I've seen in the theatre in the past couple of years - we just don't make time for them, preferring to lounge at home with our crafts and pusscat ( Read more... )

bend_gules day was, in fact, very pleasant, with one of my favourite dinners prepared by my sweetie, and homemade cake to boot!  Thank you to many folks for notes and good wishes.
