Regardless of your political affiliation, this should make you rather ill.
I know that a number of the people on this list are in Illinois, as I am, and are near a GKC Theatre, as I am.
Make the call.

Simply saying, "We choose not to show it, period," would earn a whole hell of a lot more respect from me than "It's anti-troops" or "It might incite terrorists." I'd still vigorously disagree, but...
What they're saying is hokum concocted to cover up what is clearly the real reason: that they don't like the movie and don't want its viewpoints espoused in their theatres.
Perhaps you missed it, but this was also the theatre chain that allowed Christian/Catholic groups to put up tables in the lobby during THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST but denied the same right to everybody else who asked, including other religions and some others who escape me for the moment.
This is clearly a theatre who cares fuckall about the consumer and has decided to hide their biases behind false "patriotism" instead of simply making their real feelings public. I define their actions as censorship, and call bullshit.

I think we're both skirting a line on this one.
I KNOW! Let's define "liberty" instead! ;D

I noticed GKC had no problems what so ever letting local Christian groups set up tables to proselytize during the Passion controversy.
