another friiii evening

Since everyone else was out doing something and stuff and until around 6:00 I thought I was going to be stuck at home working on college application crap, I hadn't made any plans tonight. Then I decided I really really wanted to see one of my friends. So I called Isaac at 6:30 and as he picked up I realized he had Shabbat dinner tonight. But he ended up inviting me and I was over there in half an hour... Isaac's dad invited my mom to join them too so my mom was there... bleh... but it was OK. Adira's home from college it appears she was not quite ready yet for it so I guess she'll be here for awhile. I guess it's cool to have an old friend from school back in the neighbourhood. After dinner we went to Staples high school to see a performance of Oliver, that was pretty good. Isaac's friend Alec was in it as Oliver's biological grandfather or whatever... he was pretty good actually. Alec seems like a cool guy I'd seen him in Staples's other play last year but tonight was my first time meeting him. Even though I pretty much just got to say "Hi Alec I'm Ben!" Meh.
Someone puked on the stairwell up to the balcony. The second to the top landing. I stared at it awhile. I don't know why but I am developing some kind of demented obsession with vomit. Some people passing through looked at me oddly, it was fun. Like the fact that I was staring at the chunder was more bizarre than the actual spew itself.
And then Adira made a joke about the vomit by saying "oh of course! I know why it's there. This is Westport. There's more white people here than at a KKK meeting. And every single teenage girl in this town is a bulimic." Isaac and Adira are very similar in a way. I think their mom really fucked them up psychologically. She's insane. But really really nice and friendly. I like Mrs. Sharp.
Isaac played me a song by Civil Disobedience. He was right, the lead singer sounds very... unusual. I compared him a bit to Isaac Brock from Modest Mouse only this guy's much more hardcore. Civil Disobedience is my new favourite band.
Craig and I talked in gym today. I brought clothes and I changed but apparently since I spent class sitting with Craig and Christina in the corner it was assumed that I was not receiving credit for the class. But I really wanted to talk to them. So I stayed with them. Christina had been at Kesha's (sic?) party last night and didn't sleep apparently and Tirado drove her to school and that's why she was in class so she took most of gym period to sleep. She said she was cold. It was very cold in the fitness room. Craig and I talked about Joan of Arc and he talked about Mineral and Texas Is the Reason and we made up new band names from these. "Christina Is Texas's Reason to be a Mineral" or "Christina's Mineral Is Texas" or "Reason Is a Christina Mineral" or blehhhhhh what am I typing this for. Soto's hickeys are still there... heeheehee. Him and Molly. No not that Molly. So cute.
