Tokyo, Akihabara and 40000¥"shopping bag"!

Very busy, cold and expensive  - WELCOME TO TOKYO my friends!!!

Very easily hitch hiked yesterday to the capital and strait away got in to such a horrible weather, that probably on the top of Mt Fuji was more sunshine than in one of the biggest cities of the World.  There was no point to freeze my ass on the streets and I made my way to meet this really nice japanese guy Keiichi. I found him on CS and Im really glad I can stay at his very comfortable place in the suburbs of Tokyo.

Today was my first day to explore the capital and the weather was perfect. A lot of sun and such a different feeling from yesterday.  This city actually is not as expensive as I thought it will be, but still, for sure it is not one of the cheapest places in this World.
The first thing I did today, was my visit in the morning to these two huge skyscrapers next to the Shinjuku station - Tokyo metropolitan buildings and the possibility to observe the city from the 45th floor. Looked amazing! Imagine seeing 20 million people city from about 200 meters above the ground. Its something I've never seen before.
After coming down the skyscrapers I walked for a few hours to another Tokyo attraction - imperial palace.  I was quite disappointed that there was no chance of getting inside the palace complex and that I cant shake the holly hand of the emperor, but well... I hope he saw me waiving to him from behind the walls ;))

Then, after sitting for some time next to the palace walls and just looking at the Tokyo skyscraper panorama, I made my way to Akihabara. It is the most famous place in Japan to do anything with electronics. DVD's, cameras,  newest PC stuff and anything else you want, you can find it here.
After few hours just hanging around the streets full of electronical maniacs and experiencing all the noise from every corner, I took the direction OUT! But of course not empty handed!
I GOT A NEW DIGITAL CAMERA!!!
Ok, Ok maybe not really new, to be exact its a second hand one, but still ;))
I got tired to answer all the time to people... where is the pictures? When you will have a camera? Why you dont buy one in Japan?  SO I WENT TODAY AND I DID BOUGHT ONE!
I kind of spend twice more on it than I really wanted to, but I hope that my new (sorry, second hand!) Canon PowerShot G7 will last at least a bit longer than the previews two before did!
The camera itself costed almost 35000¥ (around 320$), plus some extra for 2GB memory card and the USB card reader.  The biggest problem I face now is that the manual for this camera is only in japanese language and I have to find out myself what button does what. Fuck... I'll manage ;))

After the big buy, I went again to the metropolitan skyscrapers. This time it was already 7pm, it was black dark and it was completely different experience to see this huge metropolis in the evening lights ;))

Here are the first pictures from the new purchase ;))

Tokyo panorama from 200 meters above the ground!

Meet the SKUNK!  Ok, Ok, maybe not exactly the skunk, but still someone from the same animal kingdom (ferret to be exact) and he is sleeping in the next room to mine! He is Keiichis (the japanese guy Im staying with) pet and probably his best friend :D

And thats how much I love him :DDD
