Today we read this amazing story called "Because My FAther ALways Said He Was the Only Indian Who Saw Jimi Hendrix Play...its a really long title.

It has some really great lines, line "But she loved him, with a ferocity that eventually forced her to leave him.  they fought with each other with the kind of graceful anger that only love can create."

"Everyone wanted to call her sweetheart.  But she only danced for me.  She told me that every other step was just for me."
"But thats only half the dance"
"yea. She was keeping the rest for herself.  Nobody can give everything away.  It aint healthy"

My all time favorite though is:

Sometimes I caught my mother digging through old photo albums or staring at the wal or out the window.  She'd get that look on her face that I knew meant she missed my father. Not enough to want him back.  She missed him just enough for it to hurt."

That last part really speaks to me.  Maybe its how I view relationships.  When something isn't right, it doesn't mean there isn't love there.  It just
can't work.
