once again, i'm sitting in newcastle airport, waiting to board my flight home (brisbane).
it's raining and miserable here.
just my luck... 27 degrees in adealide, 25 degrees in brissy... and i have to deal with this shit.
work is moving along ok. this next few weeks will be busy and have a lot of ups and downs.
i am coming back home this weekend, staying till monday night. back the following thursday night till the sunday. after that i'm not coming back for a while.
i bought a new macbook pro last week, i'm hoping it'll arrive tomorrow. but i think it'll come on monday sometime. it cost me a mint, but it's totally worth it. i'm selling my old macbook pro to danielle... converting everyone i know, one way or another. haha!
this means the guitar i'm building is kind of on hold. i got out bid on the body i was bidding on, which saves me about $300 for now. i bought a few small parts, i'll hang on to, until i have the funds to waste, again. haven't bought much else of late... i want to buy some cool nike kicks tho. white and green ones, which looks sweet, but i haven't had the chance in the last few weeks. might have a look when i'm home this weekend, if i'm bored at any point.
i still haven't talked to tim since the gig. which i left without saying goodbye. my behaviour is almost childish, but i still maintain i have a reason to be annoyed. maybe he's just too busy (everyone get that sarcasm again??). which might make my weekend low key... well quieter than usual. also puts a question mark over the weekend tim and danielle have planned to come up and visit... don't know whats happening there. hopefully it'll sort it self out.
i've been playing a bit of acoustic recently... mainly because that's all i have with me in brisbane. i came up with the basis of a fairly cool tune last night. might see if i can knock it down myself, and try to make something of it.
there is a guy with the most awesome mullet standing in front of me, right now!!
it's a number 2 on the sides, 3 on top and ALL party in the back. he's also got a nose ring... not just a normal nose ring, but one of those unnecessarily fat ones. like people need to know any more that you have a nose ring. haha! that's my laugh for the day.
catching up with tammy again tonight. she's a cool chick that was on contiki with nicole and myself earlier this year. we're both tv nerds, who like the same sorts of shows. it's cool. i'm making her watch twin peaks (which she had never seen *gasps*). we're going to start watching season two... i've been teasing her with the whole, does agent cooper die... maybe, maybe not? etc. i like that i have someone to be a nerd with. i miss talking nerdy references with people. brisbane just doesn't get it.
i'm once again looking at buying a house in adelaide. i figure with the whoel crisis on, and people not buying homes, i can get a pretty sweet deal. i'll live in it for a year, so i qualify for my first home owner's grant... which is now $21k. then maybe fuck off overseas to work for a while... Boston to be more precise. i've been looking into it for a while... probably after i've been working at Badge for say five years, i'll look at moving o/s. that way i have enouggh experience to warrant hiring.
i'm meant to be going to a halloween party... i don't know what to go as. my opportunity to find a costume is limited. i need something easy, but clever. ideas?
i'll leave you with that. i'm going to go wait for my plane out of this stink hole.
