Well, seeing as how I haven't done one real post in here yet...I thought I should remedy that.
I know I haven't been online. School and Pirate just won't allow. And I must say I much prefer the second excuse. Buuuut anyhoo, things have been generally good, I've been giddy and cuddly-like. Got my roomies ice cream...and today I'm half worried about.
Pirate is having a family get together at his uncle's. And I'm coming, too. Hm. I'm not really sure how to take this, but we'll see how it goes. Pumpkin carving and such. Okay. Lots of people I don't know. Okay. And they're all somehow related to Pirate. Eep. Double eep. Espeically with the implications that are always connected with visiting a significant other's relatives. In Mormon culture it goes as follows: you're practically engaged. Or well on the road to it.
And we've only been dating what? Two weeks?
*freaks out and then manages to somehow calm down*
But moving onward...
I felt like Momo's only been whiny, cute, or emo. And so I felt like doing something with him being more...tough and rumble. The ninja in him. And here we have it. I took the liberty of writing in a bit of Tanou and Tokei. We need to figure out what their team number was, by the by...
Enjoy!
Immunity
Momoro gasped for air and tried not to think of how his body ached and his air passages were still burning. He glanced down at the ground and smiled softly. His team was still safe - Fujita-sensei included. Nidaime-sama was smart to assign Fujita-sensei’s team to this mission. If Momoro hadn't been there…well, he'd rather not think of how the other ninja would have writhed and died in excruciating pain.
Tanou had always frowned when he saw Momoro poisoning himself in small doses - now he'd been proven wrong. Just like one conditioned their body for physical movement, one needed to condition it to different poisons. A smirk came onto Momoro's cracked lips as he remembered the fight just hours previous.
"You want me to do what?" Tanou hissed, gagging and looking to Momoro with tearing eyes.
"Breathe deeper. Keep taking in air. If you stop breathing it will get worse, besides, I immunized you already. The worst of it is over."
"You immunized…you didn't!"
"Already did, along with Fujita-sensei and even Tokei. Now keep breathing."
To think the poison he'd just finished mastering a month previous was the one they'd run into on the mission, Momoro was so very proud of himself. Whenever he finished immunizing himself to a poison - one he created himself or received from Chizu-neesan - he would give it to his team in small doses the week after. Only Fujita-sensei had noticed so far. And he was nearly strangled before he could get out a quick explanation of just what and why he was pouring some white powder into his sensei's breakfast. He'd had to be much more careful after that.
Tanou really was a health nut. Even after Momoro had explained the poison and how they'd all been immunized Tanou had still been furious. Tokei had grumbled and coughed some, then sulked by himself. Momoro just shrugged it off and knew they were all right. All the poisons they were immune to now would do them good, especially if they were going to stay a team. Momoro nearly had permission from Chizu-neesan to use airborne poisons on missions.
He couldn't wait.
