Well, it seems I confused some people about my current situation. I'm living in Lehi. Brazil's living in Provo, in the apartment where we will live once we're married. Which...will happen...sometime.
Ken and Jen have been most generous and kind. I'm definitely enjoying my stay here. Anyhoo, yesterday's update!
I headed down to Provo to meet up with Brazil and accomplish a few things. We organized more of the apartment, went to Ikea and got a
kitchen table and four chairs as well as a stepping stool (cause I am short and the shelves in the kitchen are tall), and a new
TV stand, since the other one was wobbly and worried me. Stopped by his parents' place, since it's a five minute drive to it from Ikea, and picked up the dishes that they'd given me as a birthday gift. So now we have plenty of dishes!
We assembled the chairs and table first. I bruised my right thumb pad as I screwed in a bunch of stuff, but I think it was worth it. We have the table/chairs all set up. Yay! The TV stand was...a bit harder to build, though I think it took less time. Brazil cursed can-bolts (is that what they were called?) thoroughly, but we got it up. And then, since we were thoroughly enhungered, we picked up some burgers and headed up to Ken and Jen's. I drove, and we ended up not doing a whole lot, but that was okay. Brazil played some Smash Brothers, I read a book, and the others who had gotten there before us (furniture assembly takes some time) played "Shadows Over Camelot". Which is a very confusing game, and long, too. We'd gotten there too late to join in and frankly I think I would've slowed everybody down.
So, that was Saturday. Today has gone pretty slow so far. I decided to go to church with Ken and Jen and here I am. We're gonna have crepes! Like they do every Sunday, apparently. Mmmm, crepes...
And that is all. Gonna head down to Provo in time for my 1:45 meeting with the Bishop. ..and I'll try to be nicer every time.
