Alright well I'll interrupt my regularly scheduled Smash Post to bring up a fun topic that I have always thought about. Not since Dane Cook, but he definitely helped with the evolution of my ideas. And there was at least that one person that was into my house ideas, but anyways. Here it goes.

So depending on the eventual layout of the rooms, themes will be involved, and it will be very depending. Perhaps some ideas wont work out based solely on the layout of the house but here it goes.

I want a basement filled with white sand. I think it would be awesome to walk around with sand between your toes. Play Ping Pong in sand, pool, horsing around. How cool would that be.

A big one which is a definite for all houses is nex-turf in all hallways and possibly the kitchen. Nex-turf is the upgrade to astro- turf for all those that dont know. Its what Lincoln Financial Field is made with. So it does feel like squishy grass although the blades arent so forgiving on your feet. The reason being that when you wake up, you dont want cold, unforgiving, wood or tiles in the winter or summer. I want to feel like I woke up to mother nature every day.

This was an idea today. In the movie "Hook", Captain Hook has a button at the top of stairs that he hits and the steps flip over from wood to red carpet. That would be awesome, but just having a red carpet greet you as you walk into your house seems too sheik not to have. You get greeted like a star in your own home...like it should be.

Umm...Solar Panels...you know...not 100% important. I'm a green guy and i think that if one can afford it, having your roof made of them would be cool. Plus you could do a black on some color scheme on the outside. Also kinda cool.

The tree of knowledge. I'm a story teller and this is the ultimate story telling tree. Have a stump or bench in front and just chat about wisdom. I really want a picture of it because I have seen one before in Madrid's main park. But its just too awesome not to have. I want to be the old man with his thinking tree.

The doors that lead to no where. In the front yard, I want a walk way leading up to the house with a plain door blocking it in the middle of the yard. You can easily walk around this door, but just for the fun of it, walk through. And if there is an area where the trees start at the back of the property, have a door leading into the wilderness.

The stargazing room. This can mean either a huge pane of glass in a particular room or just the main room where you can look at the stars from indoors. I think as time passes and i'll have more nights to lay on my back instead of face planting, i'd really enjoy the stars more.

Gaming Room. I have tons of small ideas for this room, but a room in the house should be made for gaming. Either a huge flat screen, multiple flat screens on the different faces of the walls, or a projector with appropriate seating. This is very important and i'd say more valuable than a "living room" or even a separate dining room.

The relaxing spot. Climate permitting, I always wanted two palm trees with a hammock in the middle and a plot of sand beneath. So even if you arent in paradise, it takes only a walk in the backyard to feel like you are there.

Clutch ---> The Firemans Pole. From my bedroom all the way to the basement. Why take the stairs? Not to mention as long as you have a suitable means to cover the hole when you wanted, its a stripper pole in the bedroom. 2 for 1.

The secret button. Dane has the green book, and thats great, but I love the pull back head button. (See Waynes World 2) So I figured the garage door would be best for this. Have a model head, bend it back, press the button, and you've got a James Bond gadget.

A Urinal in the basement. I have spent more time in my basement in my life than any other room in my house. Its the hang out spot, the video game area, and usually the spot where parents arent. However, bathroom trips are a pain. If a tiny area is given for a urinal and a faucet, you never have to leave the room. This makes the basement more man accessible while discriminating, but basements are usually more guyish anyways.

A ball pit. Everyone wants one. The most fun part of a McDonalds playground was the ball pit. So where would this go? A hallway? A bit impractical. I was thinking the home office. Step inside, play around, and get your work done. Or maybe the ball pit could go in the gaming room. If someone beats you in Halo or Mario Kart, you can always punish them with hallow plastic balls.

Having another smoke out room would be great, but im not sure if it would too much hassle. Pot grew legs over the years and it doesnt like to stay put like it used to. So we'll see.

So theres my house. With definitely more additions to come.

So this week has been a cunt muscle. All work and no play. And next week wont get any better. This has certainly not been like the winter sesh of old. And this isnt making me feel any better about being done with classes in a week. For the sake of my life, I need it to be done with, I just didnt think it would be as still as it is. Baka-fo-sho.
