林間学校 and 富士山のハイキング (30 Photos! *Warning: SPAM* XD)

Whoa la! It's a terrific school excursion!

I love Japanese schools' idea of having such trip. Our coach set off in a bright, cheery mood because the weather's good, the company's great and we have a pretty and cute guide! ^-^

We sang really old Japanese and English songs, like Stand By Me, Yesterday since that's all the songs the coach has. Along the way, I saw a car racing track

While going up Mt. Fuji's 5th station, the guide sang 2 songs related to Mt. Fuji for us and there's the breath-taking scenery, of course!

After the brief stopover at the 5th station where we can send unique postcards (made from wood! :p) to friends, family or ourselves XD~, we finally arrived at Rinkan School, where we can see Mt. Fuji clearly....

Hours later, we're caught up in preparation for our class performance so I took a chance to have a photo with Sister who's dressed up as a Sun and yeah, I'm the tree! Now you get to see the 'full-version' instead of just half of the head in previous entry. XP

Our class performance was caught up in some CD mistaken identity swap, which delayed the 'high' momentum that we hope for. Plus we were taken aback by surprise that the performance was to be in the sports hall, so the music and voices were very dispersed.

Though our performance didn't go as smooth as we wanted, the team had a good time both on the day and preparations prior to the show. The great interaction, and the chemistry between us during our rehearsals and props making were as good as having a good performance, even though the audience may not be able to see these. What counts is the spirit each of us felt! XP~

So presenting my classmates and my form teacher! (not all are in the photo, 3 of them didn't go on this excursion and some others are roaming...God knows where)

The 2nd day, I went on a hiking trip with 79 others to Mt. Fuji 6th station. I'm lucky to get my first choice, because apparently a lot of other people also placed Hiking as their 1st choice but they didn't managed to get it. God loves my class, Thank you!!!

From the other side of the 5th station, we started our climb to the 6th station, which is actually called Houei Crater.

Extracted from the writings on the information board
"Houei Crater is the latest crater created after the great eruption from December 16-31 in 1707. It's a unique crater with a diameter of 1 km, which connects 3 different craters."

It's a very wonderful experience, albeit the difficulty of climbing up and down the steep tracks Luckily, at some parts of the climb, there were ropes along the sides to aid us.

Along the way, we get to see shrubs like this plus greens here and there thriving on the mountain. I thought the scenery looks good below, so I decided to take a photo.

Unfortunately, we couldn't see what's below, which defeats the purpose of taking it. XD~ But still the scenery looks good, isn't it?

Half way through the climb, we took a short rest at a store and we spotted this poor dog. Have you noticed what's wrong with it? :p

We finally managed to reach the edge of the crater, so I wanted to take a group photo (Only-Me photo here) However the photographer didn't allow time for everyone to prepare themselves, especially my classmate who's also taking a photo. So in the end, it becomes like this, which I find it quite weird ^^'; but naturally candid in a way. :p

Hence, we took a 2nd shot.

Behold, the crater!! 1 | 2 | 3

The descend to the crater was very frightening. At least to me. 3 people were helping me down. 1 was carrying my bag, 2 were at my sides to hold me. I think if I fall, I probably mangled up with broken bones and skin, 'cos that's all I got since I don't have much meat on me XD

Finally *phew!* Yoshi!!

After the ooh-aahs at the crater, we need to descend from the crater down this trecherous evil-looking route. (Photo was taken when I've already climbed down)

There were more trees nearer to the bottom, which we walked through a track among the trees.

The descend this time is much easier, and I can managed to take a photo :p

Finally, we were out of the trees and the climb ended in 1.5 hours. The clouds look very nice when I saw them, but somehow they didn't turn out right in the photo.

But after I did 'level' on the photo with Photoshop, it looked even weirder now =_=

Oh well......
