My Class's Performance Item
Doesn't this look more like a Tako (Octopus) or elephant than a tree?! XD
I'm going with my school for a 2 days 1 night excursion to Mt.Fuji on Monday!! So I'll be staying with my classmates (Of course, guys and girls rooms are in separate buildings)...I wonder what our beds will be? Futon or western style?
Every class also needs to put up a performance, and as mentioned in previous entries, I'm dressed up as a tree. Apparently in that photo, the head gear is way too big for the camera to capture everything~ But it certainly looks much better now, after I've strengthened its structure. XP
I've also applied for hiking on the 2nd day!!
*excited*
I'll be taking lots of photos to show you guys!!!

A Visit to Sister's House
It was a lot of fun visiting Sister Alejandea's house yesterday in Mejiro, though it was really far about 15-20 mins away from JR station. It seems even further away esp. on a hot and humid day (---> typhoon has passed, that's why)
It's a place where Roman Catholic Sisters stayed and they rent the place out to 22 University students.
The entire area was such a serene and homely place. There's a chapel for praying, a library, TV area, kitchen (4 fridges!! *envy* Imagine how much food you can put in there!! :D~~~), a huge garden (Sister Alejandea always brings fruits from her garden to school for us to try *thankful* plus O-miyage from various parts of Japan. So far I've tried cookies from Aichi Expo, Wine Jelly from Osaka, Biscuits from Hokkaido etc. *hearts!*), a reception area, O-furo (soak in bathtub~ *dreams*).
We took a lot of group photos on my friend's camera, and I hope to show you guys! We also played a game which I won a Winnie the Pooh keychain, and another game that I was being tricked XD Sisters' house's car porch has a notice board where Sister Alejandea decorates it with beautiful and creative hand-made pictures accompanied by writings done by another Sister.
Being a Sister is never easy, but their job is also full of wonder and happiness to be able to fulfill their cause. They pray 3 times a day, wake up at 5 am to do morning prayers. According to Sister Alejandea (who heard from a Japanese Sister staying together in the same house), should a Japanese becomes a Sister, she will be ostracized by her own family and if she travels in a car with her family, the back of the windows are black so other people cannot look in and see that their daughter becomes a nun. Sister Alejandea said that some Japanese families even disowned their daughter.
Is it a shameful thing to have a daughter becoming a Sister? But Japanese Sisters can still stand out strongly, and said 'It's okay' Sister Alejandea said it must their unwaving faith towards their mission to God that allows them to be able to bear their own families' treatment...
But being abandoned by family is such a sad fact...
