more downtime...
.. the story of my work life... rubber didn't come in so the entire line is down. This blows. Supposedly another shipment is supposed to arrive in 1/2 hour... so until then I wait...
I've still got the 'unmotivated bug' at work. It seems to go away every time I leave this place. I guess I just am bored with my thesis stuff and tired of waiting. After I post this I will make another phone call to see where that machine is at...
I had a nice enough weekend. Chris and I went and saw Cinderella Man on Friday night. I liked it and so did Chris... good movie overall. After we got back, we went downtown with Chris's roommate and his girlfriend. We went to Shakespeare's but left due to overcrowdedness. We ended up at Mcgees or something like that (I don't remember). Chris got hit on and Shawn (his roommate) interrupted with some sort of gay lover comment. I got good and drunk and wrote poop all over the roof of Shawn's car (the car was dirty)... don't ask.. I was drunk.
Saturday Chris and I went to his co-worker's house and he went riding as I tanned. Somehow he ended up with more color than me ... oh yeh, that's because I had SPF 15 on and he didn't. We ate at Olive Garden with Shawn and Julie (chris's roommate and his g/f). Sleep was in order after that.
Sunday we were planning on going to michigan's great adventure but ended up not going because of the weather forecast. Instead we went to meijer and bought picnic supplies. While loading the styrafoam cooler into the back seat of his car, Shawn managed to bust it and send ice, meat, drinks, and cherries all over his back seat. It was pretty funny because Chris wanted to go back to the apartment and get a cooler instead of buying one from the dollar store. We ended up putting ice in the bags with drinks and food and we went to the park, grilled & played bocce. The heat got to us so we went back to Meijer and I bought a swim suit and we all went swimming until the storm rolled in. I threw my stuff together, put some clothes over my suit and headed for Jackson so that I would beat the storm. I did.
Once I got to Jackson, Martin and Warner were ready to go swimming at Warner's apt. complex. I threw some dry clothes in a bag and off we went. On the way over the storm hit, but we went swimming anyhow. There were about 3 good lightening strikes around the time that we went in the water, but the storm wasn't too bad where we were at and we continued swimming. Martin and I got pizza and ate it back at the house. I crashed for the night after waking chris up at 10:00 (oops!).
So, yeh.. fun-filled weekend. I plan on making it back to commerce this upcoming weekend since I didn't this weekend. I may go to Flint on Friday.. I'm not sure yet.
