Frightful - adjective: unpleasant; disagreeable
Snow and I, we used to have a lovely relationship, one quite similar to the one it has with Lorelai Gilmore (if you have no clue what I am talking about, you must run, not walk, to the nearest Bloackbuster, rent every season of Gilmore Girls and enlighten yourself. Go. Now.). However, I am not too pleased with it at present.
I'm a pretty genial girl. I have a rather sunny disposition and can find beauty in almost anything, including all four seasons and all manner of weather. However, when I have my plans so rudely discarded because of the threatened twenty-five inches of snow (and ice), all my pleasantries go out the proverbial window.
Although I am disappointed to be sitting in my house rather than accomplishing the tasks I had set forth for myself today, I can't be a total grump. I'm thankful that I have the luxury of sitting in my warm house, looking out my huge front window at the very pretty winter scene. I also have a nice hot cup of chai tea and Bridget Jones to keep me company. Plus a recent Barnes & Noble excursion has left me well stocked with new books to read. I guess it isn't so bad after all. :-)
In the spirit of my dogged optimism, I will just take this as a grand cosmic message that I am meant to take a break from my typically ridiculous to-do list. And with that thought in mind I will change my little emoticon mood dude down there.
