So ... along the lines of things that you really shouldn't be doing when you're curled up in pain from an awful migraine. One of the top things on that list is straining your eyes by reading fanfic. Well, since fanfic is my comfort when I'm in pain, I was just screwed any which way. On the bright side, though, I found fic worth reccing and that's almost worth any amount of pain. Author's Summary: Yet another one of those Harry And Draco Are Forced To Be Together By Something Beyond Their Control And Then Stuff Happens Leading To Twoo Wuv stories. Because every HD writer has to write at least one.
Reccer's Summary: AU, begun pre-HBP. An alternative 7th year fic, we discover the ups and downs of the flipside where instead of being a blessing, the magical bond can be cast as a curse.
This was a fun read. If I hadn't had a migraine and stayed home from work, this one would probably be still torturing me come Monday or Tuesday as I swallowed bits and pieces while waiting for the computer programs at work to catch up with me. Anyway, delightfully long, well-written and while not an entirely unique concept ... I love the way the author handles the bond being cast as a curse and how the two boys deal with it and how the people surrounding them deal with it as well. The characters manage to remain very IC, with Draco dabbling a bit in the fannish side we all know and love. Pansy is a joy as a supporting character, as is watching the author walk the fine line of how to define Lucius. If you enjoy the fic, take the time to go back to the author's main fanfiction.net page and look at the outtakes. They're refreshing as well.
And, well, Flumen Mensanguina ... that's all I have left to say. (Gods, I love Draco.) {grins unrepentantly}

As I told belleweather after she pointed this out to me and I read it. It definitely could've been written for me. I love Percy point of view fics and I adore Percy/Oliver slash where Percy's just a little in denial and comes screaming out of the closet dragged by Oliver whether Oliver is knowledgable of the need for dragging or not. I grinned wickedly for untold amounts of time after having read this. I do so love Percy. And, no, I haven't a freaking clue when I started adoring him or why. I just do. Color me hopeless. In the meantime, shoo ... go enjoy the fic.
