I have the most gorgeous, most contrary cat ever.
Purdy's just woken up, she's been asleep on a blanket (which started neatly folded) all afternoon. She woke up, stretched, made her way over to my chair, knocking over everything in the way. She sat beside me, purring and LOOKING at me. She wanted attention. I pat my lap, asking her if she wants to jump up.
I ask her:
Hey purdy!
*purr*
Want to come up?
*look*
Puss?
come on then?
*purr and tail lashes*
You coming up?
Yes?
Puss?
Come on then!
not interested?
*purr*
No?
And up she jumps. "No?" is her trigger word for action. Only in the sense of "do you want to? yes? no?" She understands a stern "NO." perfectly well, normally that triggers a glare, and she continues whatever she's being told not to do.
She's now sitting on my scanner, moulting profusely, and grooming. How does one cat moult SO much hair, yet retain such a thick, beautiful coat?
