After hardly sleeping all night, only lightly dozing, I got round to Goldhawk Road, on the underground, and got the fabric for the Glinda skirt. 4 metres was *JUST* enough, literally about 5" spare. I then dragged myself into Uni, and made this fabric into the skirt for Glinda, it's a base for the attachment of bubbles. Proper petersham waistband.
I then spoke to Caroline, my tutor, who said it was no problem for me to use Dinah for the exhibition instead of Glinda! so THANK. GOODNESS. This means Glinda does NOT have to be finished by Friday. I just have to finish the Starlight costumes, and get Dinah from Bochum 1st thing Weds morning, to Uni by 1.30 that afternoon. Should be ok, I reckon on getting to uni at 12.30, so an hour to set up, not a problem. I might even get to run across to Boots and get photos printed off of the previous day! So Heather, I'll need you to pose for photos for me please!
So, having greatly lifted the burden from my shoulders, I spent some time setting out the PRA work due thursday. Only one sheet, proposal for the Dissertation-type project next year. I'm pretty much on top of that.
Then, Alice and I took the bus down to Trafalgar Square - an hour at 5pm - and got ourselves tickets for Avenue Q! She needed to do research into puppetry performance, very serious, studious trip, of course. Then we got to EAT - so hungry by this point. We indulged in Starbucks panini and icy cold coffee based drinks. Then we had ages - so we walked through to Cyber Candy, admired the many fabulous Japanese candies on offer... bought a little - Litchi Gummy sweets, delicious! And we went to the Disney Store, where I resisted buying anything, even Tinkerbell socks - I don't think she'd like being stuck inside boots anyway.
Q was very good - Delroy Atkinson is now playing Gary Coleman and he's fantastic! The new Christmas Eve, however, is not fantastic... she's not got a great voice, not great comic timing, line delivery, or really anything that sparkled. It's a shame I know quite how adorable her understudy is.... Alice thought she was pretty weak, and she didn't know the show at all before tonight! But everyone else was on great form.... Trekkie Monster love..... I love the way he moves, and his honesty as a character!
After the show, I got back to Victoria, having just missed the train, and being on the 24 bus ahead of Mazz. So we met up at Victoria, and got the last train home. I got home an hour ago. I think I am going to hope to sleep better tonight. Then I'll sew from home all day.
Tired now.
