i didn't fall off the planet! i'm still here!
heyyyy everyone! i don't know if i can pin down a specific reason why i haven't written in 4 days, but i can tell you about a pretty substantial contributing factor...
i have an infection on my right buttock. it hurts like a ::CENSORED::!!!!!!!! it's also freaking gross. the technical term for it is a "boil". so basically i have been unable to sit in a comfortable position since thursday. and driving, forget about it. that was NOT fun and i was screaming in my car on friday night. also, thank God i live in a single because i have spent a lot of time not only sleeping, but also not wearing pants. i wouldn't wish this on anyone, it's probably one of the most physically painful things i've ever experienced.
(for those who didn't click, my butt hurts and i can't sit down much.)
so let's try to recap.
wednesday night: i went to a purpose driven life Bible study. it was really cool, it's being run by this kid david and some people from his church. actually me and david were the only UT-ers there, the rest were his church peeps. they were all REALLY cool though and i can tell this Bible study is going to be really awesome. when i got back from that, though, we had a freaking fire drill. fire drills in smiley are the loudest thing EVER, so that sucked. also we were treated like 5 year olds cuz it was the pre-meditated fire drill that you're supposed to have every semester. oh well.
thursday: skipped my night class due to the immense pain in my rear end. went to cru, tried to sit down but that didn't last very long so i ended up standing in the back. it probably looked really weird to people to see me squirming all over my chair, but whatever. anyway the cru meeting was fun and hanging out with everyone afterwards was awesome.
friday: slept a lot, went to the womens sleepover. that was SO much fun. we went to see "the wedding date" and wow, that was just a wonderful movie, i mean i think everyone ever should see it... IF YOU LIKE MOVIES THAT TOTALLY SUCK!!!!! haha, i had ya going, i know it. yeah anyway that movie was horrible, totally not worth the $8.75 i paid for it by ordering tickets on the internet, and probably wasn't worth the $6.00 i would have paid if i just got the ticket in person. yeah lame. but us girls had a lot of fun talking about it! also the guys "crashed" our sleepover to give us flowers. aww how sweet! we <3 cru guys (most of the time haha). i have to give a huge shout out to tawnya, not that she's reading this, but she was very concerned about my um "condition" and was like yo we're gonna figure out how to take care of this thing. i <3 tawnya :) we played scattergories too and it was just a great night. oh and i put up pictures!
saturday: tried to go to the flag football game but i was in too much pain to concentrate on it, so i left. that must be why they lost... jk. definitely slept all day, then at night i drove over to st. pete cuz brian wanted to go to steak N shake to celebrate that he had accepted Christ a year ago last night/this morning. yay! anyway the drive there was an experience... i was trying to avoid butt pain as much as possible but there was a huge traffic jam on 275 south because of some construction and i was in SO much pain, but fortunately once the traffic let up so did the pain. then brian's mom was on the 11pm news lol so we watched that. THEN we went to steak n shake. it was fun times. we drank shmakes. oh randomness, over on the tampa side of the gandy bridge, there was a HUGE car accident, like i dont think there were that many cars but there were a lot of police cars and an ambulance and half the road was closed and some guy was like lying on the ground and yeah so just pray for that whole dealio if you think about it.
today: more sleeping. i'm not really that lazy, i'm just trying to take it easy due to the butt thing. i think it's also making me feel slightly sick, so i'm trying to just rest up and get better and whatnot. then i watched the super bowl... i wasn't too bummed about watching it by myself because i got to be comfy in my own bed. i also wasn't too bummed about missing the relient k concert cuz a)not a lot of people i know went, b)i've seen them 8 times, and c)butt pain + lots of crazy moshers = probably not a good combination. anyway, i am very happy with the results of the game... GO PATRIOTS! come on, i'm from ct, i gotta root for new england :)
