No double-scooping!

1. So. Strike. To be honest, I'm feeling pretty damn pissed off at the moment. Because I've realized that realistically it's not so much a matter of whether this'll all be over in time to finish the season as it is a matter of hoping for as many episodes as possible. 10 out of 22. 17 out of 22. Maybe one more. Maybe a handful less ( Read more... )

God, I wish I had time to watch Long Way Down. I still haven't seen all of the episodes of Long Way Round!

And those shots of Ewan/Eve are amazing. I love them so so so so so much.

'Long Way Down' is most definetly F.T.W!!!
I was a little embarassed that I found Charley setting fire to his fart absolutely hilarious. The ruins looked amazing, I would love to see something like that one day. I can't say I complained that Ewan was filming himself butt nekid ;)

"I rather arrogantly thought I'd be mobbed. I'm a little disappointed."
is reason #4850376407840235 why Ewan is the SHIZ.NITZ! Gah, how I love him so.

I...have no idea what this Long Way Down/Long Way Round stuff is.

I agree with you on the strike. I hope it doesn't lead to partial television seasons. That's just bad all around.

You should check it out. It's very much worth checking out.

Yeah, but I don't know what the hell it is or what it's about or why I should watch it!

Oh, I'm sorry, was that first comment you're way of cryptically asking for a pitch? I don't really do pitches. I just make picspam and hope that people can do basic imdb/google/youtube type searches on their own.

1. RIGHT. Now if only the network would put it out there in the world for potential new viewers to see. Just look at their lips! Who could possibly resist that ( ... )

I don't know if you've noticed, but the comments for the first few images are all one image down from where they're supposed to be so there was a lot of scrolling up and down there for a while. =)

You know, sometimes it completely escapes my mind that they're actors, until they start with the sword-fighting and the pretend-bartending. My first reaction is still OH BOYS, but then I realize that they go far far FAR beyond regular OH BOYS behavior. Plus, they actually know how to (pretend) sword-fight.

I feel a bit naive for not realizing places like that still exist.
I can't help but wonder if it would if it wasn't in Libya. I mean, of course there are preserved ruins pretty much everywhere around the Mediterranean, but they've long since become tourist traps, whereas that last place they went to seemed very much like taking a step back in time. Also, there were NO people there. That weirded me out more than anything.

Ewan looks positively demented in the middle right cap. Speaking of which, planning to make the raw caps available ( ... )

Thanks for telling me! Usually I look things over more carefully, but I was in a bit of a rush at the end there. *g*

so there was a lot of scrolling up and down there for a while. =)

Hee! Sorry about that.

Yes! I've had the same thing happen multiple times. Even with Ewan being, you know, EWAN, I'm constantly forgetting that they're actors. And I hadn't even considered that they've had lessons and everything! That's makes it seem even more fun for some reason.

That's a really good point about Lybia, and it not being a tourist destination. I felt really bad for Jimmy and David not being able to get in to Lybia, but on the other hand, it's pretty special that places like that can still exist.

Also, there were NO people there. That weirded me out more than anything.

I KNOW! Looking out over that entire expanse and not a single person in sight. That felt straight out of a sci fi movie.

Ewan looks positively demented in the middle right cap.Hahaha! He really does. Demented with glee ( ... )

At first there was mostly just confusion. "What shirt? What the hell is she talking about?" (I'm actually still not sure what the t-shirt said.)

Even with Ewan being, you know, EWAN, I'm constantly forgetting that they're actors.
I know exactly what you mean. I mean, you're constantly aware of who Ewan is (Charley isn't famous enough as an actor for me to be aware in quite the same way), but at the same time it's hard to equate him with The Star Wars Actor, or That Moulin Rouge Guy. I have to be forcibly reminded of that fact. As I was during those very actor-y segments.

Definitely, I can upload the caps. I wasn't sure if you had also capped it. I'm kinda trying to weasel out of capping this one. *g* And I'm not even sure if icons will happen, but there were some AWFULLY pretty caps in this episode, and I kinda feel...urgings ( ... )

Yeah, you can't really see the shirt too well in the small cap, but I'm 99% sure it says "Where's Charley?". Hopefully we'll get a better shot of it at some point.

but at the same time it's hard to equate him with The Star Wars Actor, or That Moulin Rouge Guy.

Exactly. I wonder why that is? Because I found the same thing during Long Way Round, even though I hadn't had much exposure to Ewan the real person before that. Maybe it's something about the roles he chooses, or that he's good at his job. There are definitely some actors who I always see as the actor whether their in character or not. Like, Tom Cruise is always just TOM CRUISE to me. I can't really see past the man. But it's weirdly different with Ewan.

Here are the caps.I agree completely about the strike. And, I mean, waiting to hear which shows get renewed is stressful enough. And who knows what to protocol would be if the strike is still on at the time when they usually announce such things (god forbid, considering how far away that is from now!). Ug. I'm going to try ( ... )
