Did we actually see Death and I missed it? Or just what Bobby's wife said?

Bobby probably does seem like the town drunk/nutjob, LOL. But I felt so sorry for him and his wife.

I also never understood why no one seemed to question the zombies, even a little bit. I did like Sam taking charge.

And I also missed Cas. You know, even if Misha wasn't going to be in an episode, I would love to see Dean call Cas and be unable to get a hold of him. (Or get his voicemail. We need to hear Castiel's voicemail message, dammit! :) I mean, I do know that the Winchesters aren't going to call Castiel for every little thing, but the Horseman Death and a zombie apocalypse seemed like the sort of bad spot they might give him a heads up on.

No we didn't actually see Death . . . and I wonder if we ever will. Hmmm.

I felt sorry for Bobby and Karen as well, though I really liked that Karen died while still "Human."

Yeah, I missed Cas too - I totally didn't understand why he wasn't in this episode, or at least referred to? He would have been super useful.

'Where the fuck was Castiel???'
I know! I thought we were supposed to get him for the rest of the season. D:

'What new fact did we learn?'
That Dean's never really been in love. Did the writers just forget about Cassie?

'Speaking of idiots . . . even "Digger" noticed that Dean is a queen and he seemed mighty comfortable hiding in the closet. Heheheee.'
I noticed that too.

Honestly, what was missing from this ep was Castiel. I thought he would have really played off of he situation well and maybe added a new POV.

And yet . . . what about Cassie . . . and I guess the love he feels for Sam means nothing as well. God knows Dean has never sacrificed and hidden painful things from his brother for the sake of Sam's happiness.

I know. They could have at least had him kill zombies by touching them or something. It really felt like a bad season one episode.

Exactly. I get what Jeremy Carver was trying to do (i.e. make Dean more tragic, as if that's possible at this point), but it felt very OOC to me.

I have to jump in and say - exactly my thought. I was all this is where they call Cas right?

Sigh.

The way there was absolutely no continuity from the locked in the panic room addiction/withdrawal just threw everything off for me. Not even a mention? I read that it might have aired out of order but how are we the audience supposed to know. It's like being addicted again and having to experience withdrawal was good for Sam.

What upset me the most about the lack of Cas was that bit where Sam was wondering who he could find to help him fight the zombies, and I was all "CAS YOU DUMBSHIT!"

ME TOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! WTF?! If there was ever a time to call in the angel backup it's when the dead are rising. Seriously.

t's nice to see humane Sam, yes. I think he's starting to grow on me some. (When I started watching Show, he'd just freed Luci. Then I found out about certain bits of season four and thought "That guy's a dick". At first I only liked Cas, but Dean grew on my pretty quickly, and I loved Bobby the moment I saw him.)

No kidding? So you watched "backwards?" Wow. I'm really interested to know your POV on the characters!! TELL MEEEEE!

I have to admit that exact for a few moments - mostly the gun fight with the zombies and the closet and the pretty shots of Dean - I was kind of bored. As soon as I realized that Cas wasn't in this and it was just hey there are zombies, lets kill them I felt exactly like you did.

It was just a run of the mill monster case. And yea Bobby got to see his dead wife again but . . .

Just treading water. Like a Lost sideways episode.

Jensen does look exceeding pretty and the queen thing was extremely funny to me.

It really did just end up being a run of the mill monster case with a little bit more heartstring tugging than usually. And it's a very apt comaprison to say it felt like a LOST "Sieways" ep
