Ok, so first off on the John-Dean amulet issue. This seems vaguely familiar...hmmm...wasn't there someone who was conceived without sin in order for them to give birth to one completely without sin? YUP! So, I think that perhaps John was a righteous man and only a righteous man could beget The Righteous Man. See where I'm going with this?

As for God in the building, I completely agree (we've had convos about this, yes?) I think they're going for a very Good Omens-esque stance here, where God's plan isn't fully understood by anybody, not Heaven or Hell. This also means that any crappy things that happen with Sam are meant to happen for a reason.

Onto Sam: yes, he understands that he fucked up royally. However, I think he realized something even more important: he has the capacity to fuck up even worse. If not, he wouldn't have to take time off from hunting. He knows there's something on the horizon and that he, and more specifically his choices factor in significantly. I don't think it's fitting that he's "finally freed ( ... )

Yes! WHERE EVER HAVE I HEARD THIS? Someone has a total Mary fetish on that writing team!!

This also means that any crappy things that happen with Sam are meant to happen for a reason.

This is true, or they could just whip out the free will card. They're sneaky like that.

As for Dean, I'm not sure if he's read The Bible so much as he's read Revelations. Seems smart: if I'm going into the Apocalypse I'm gonna want to memorize every line of that particular section. I doubt he's delved into Deuteronomy, though.

I dunno BB - you get sent to Hell and then yanked out by an angel - you read the whole damned Bible. Remember when Dean was hallucinating Lilith? The first thing he did was grab the Bible and pray. I would have that shit memorized by now.

to answer the Great Top/Bottom Debate ask yourself one question: who can better manipulate who?See I can't answer that question. Cas can ( ... )

Can I just say that there is nothing wrong with being a "character A must always be a top and character B is always his bottom" girl. Perhaps this is years of reading manga has warping my mind but I like it when it is clear cut. But you know that about me already. hahaha I think I have told you that like 1000 times

You forgot to mention the best part of the entire episode... Castiel proclaiming that God is not on any flat bread xD That about made me die of laughter, no joke. He looked so honestly confused that Dean was suggesting he was on a tortilla xD ( ... )

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! I cannot be answering your questions fairly. I am so spoiled already I will let something slip!!!

As far as Dean reading the bible goes... yeah, I bet it was only Revelations.

Ahah! Normally, yes - but if you had all of Heaven and Hell after you wouldn't you have that baby memorized cold? I would, no matter how dull it was.

I love that you said you cheated on the Impala, because I accused Dean of just that when he was checking that Mustang out ( ... )

Dean and Cas-if there was any pairing made for switching up with top and bottom, it’s those two. Am I a leader who’s willing to fight heaven and hell for humanity, or a self-loathing former torturer with daddy issues? Am I a follower who’s willing to put my faith in my superiors or a human who I believe in, or a powerful angel who’s going to take charge and do what it takes to find God, who has the only voice that I’ll listen to?

I KNOW. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Agree with all you pretty much said, except I loved Ellen back. Even Jo was cool enough. But Ellen. I just wish they would put her on the show more.

You missed my favorite Castiel/Dean part!

Dean with his maybe God is in a tortilla and Castiel all seorious and pondering..."No, he's not on any flatbread." HAHAHAHHA

You had me at "kinky angel" :)

Nice analysis of the amulet history. That moment still broke my brain. I got two things I've wanted for a looooong time - the meaning of the amulet, and Cas searching for god. Awesomeness \0/

See, I thought we got all the back story we were going to on the amulet . . . but the second Cas was like, "So there's this amulet . ." I was like O_O""""

I love that Dean has just been strolling around with this thing all this time.

Yeah, Kripke said that he always had a plan for the amulet, as part of his five-year plan. I just wasn't expecting to hear about it so soon! It reminds me that all of the major questions will be answered by the end of the season, especially if Kripke is leaving. I'm excited!
