Prom

So last Saturday was my prom. I actually ended up having a lot of fun. I got my hair done before at the hair salon and it looked awesome. My dress was long and purple satin and I had sliver shoes with low heels. I went with a huge group of people which was a lot more fun than having a date. We all went to Olive Garden to eat before the dance and i ( Read more... )

The colors of your prom outfit sound very pretty. So glad you had fun dancing and hanging out with your group of friends.

I'm sorry you could only eat the breadsticks at Olive Garden, but at least if you were restricted to one food item it was a good one. When I was in my second year of college my mom would often have me stop and pick up an order of breadsticks to bring home after my day of classes ended. We didn't have an Olive Garden in my hometown, so when I was attending classes that second year I had some at the main campus which was two towns away (about 45 min. one way). So I don't know which pleased Mom more, having me about to get my first college degree or that I was able to get her breadsticks on a regular basis. *big grin*

I checked in two medical online dictionaries and two plain ol' dictionaries and since you didn't lose consciousness I agree with you that it can't be called fainting. Maybe you felt faint (as in, weak - def.1 at Merriam-Webster), but you didn't faint.

Definition from Heathline.com
Fainting is a temporary loss of consciousness due to a drop in blood flow to the brain. The episode is brief (lasting less than a couple of minutes) and is followed by rapid and complete recovery. You may feel lightheaded or dizzy before fainting.

Your Wal-Mart safari sounds like a fun story. You should write it down in a paper journal or something for family history posterity. One of my favorite college moments was when one of my apt. roommates and I baked a cake late one night. Neither of us drank alcohol or did drugs. We kept giggling madly over the directions of the cake mix. For some reason, I guess being up so late all the directions seemed hysterically funny as we read them. Nice to know otehrs like yourself have late night crazy moments too. :-D

Yay, Labyrinth! Sounds like the whole evening was great fun.

Yes, the breadsticks at Olive Garden are amazing. I'm glad I got to eat them. And I probably will record the Wal-Mart Safari as you call it (I like the name). I just have to catch-up my journal. I kept one for a year and a half, but slacked off. Now that I'm going to college, I kind of want to start writing in one again.
