So as I've mentioned before, we got a beagle puppy this summer. She's about eight months old now, and she likes to destroy stuff. This has earned her the nicknames of Crap Weasel and VelociCraptor. Because of this fact we have to lock her in her crate when we leave. A little while ago she figured out how to open the latch, so we've now been putting a clip, like one you would put keys on, on the crate as well, to make it more secure. This evening we came home and she came to greet us at the door. She had undone the latch and then maneuvered and pushed the clip so it popped open. She didn't destroy anything except a snowflake my sister had made, but we also have no clue how long she was free. I think she's also a Houdini beagle, because she gets ahold of things that were in the center of a counter or table, far above her reach, or things she just shouldn't be able to get to. It's actually a little spooky.
Mom just made me watch the Christmas shoes, so I'm going to go dry my red bleary eyes from the mass of tears that have come pouring out of them.
