Here are the pictures I promised from my midnight party. I also have my thoughts on the final Twilight book. Enjoy and sorry for the picture blurriness
These two girls were self proclaimed Bella's Bridesmaids. They were actually quite cute
This is me in my Bella costume with my friend Ron. I went with crutches and a walking cast boot for accuracy to the book. A couple of girls actually applauded my devotion to accuracy
Here's part of the competition for best costume in the Bella category. I'm on the end there.
The girl in the middle is my second choice for winner. She was Bella in the meadow during the baseball game. The girl in the fancy dress next to her was also Bella at the prom, but she didn't have crutches or a cast.
This was the final round. The girl in the green shirt next to me called herself "Bella who ate too many Twinkies"
This was a Twilight Mom who we saw at the party. Her shirt says that she poured glitter on her husband so he would sparkle.
This is another Twilight Mom. I was going to take the picture again so she could smile better, but my camera died on me.
I finished Breaking Dawn on Saturday around eight-thirty. I have to say, I really liked the book. I love happy endings and I was so glad that Stephenie Meyer gave one to Bella and Edward. I think that after all they've been through together, they deserve a happy ending. Renesmee was quite a shock to me. I didn't like her at first because she was killing Bella and making Edward hate himself, as if he doesn't do that enough where Bella is concerned, but after she was born, I felt just like everyone else did about her. She was sweet and adorable and I loved that Bella got to be a mom. Bella should have her naming privileges revoked though. I mean seriously, Renesmee? There's no wa to gracefully abbreviate that, as proven by her nickname of Nessie. At first I thought Bella was being really stupid by hanging onto Renesmee even when she was killing her, but I have to admit, if it was me, I wouldn't give up Edward's child either.
I'm so happy that Jacob imprinted in this book. Now he and Bella can be together without it causing them pain. I love that Renesmee keeps biting Jacob in the beginning. It's sweet. I also loved when Edward gave Jacob the keys to the Vanquish when Jacob was losing his temper. Jacob's chapters were actually a nice touch to the book. Especially the chapter names. Those were hilarious.
I loved that Bella had so much control over herself right away. It was nice that she was able to still be herself and that she could be around Charlie and everyone without causing them harm. I didn't like how everyone kept taking Renesmee away from her though. She had shown that she was able to control herself and I think she should have been able to hold her own baby. I love how she freaked out when Alice and Edward wished her a happy birthday and she's like "I'm not nineteen! My heart stopped beating three days ago! I'm forever eighteen!"
The great gathering of vampires was awesome. I really liked meeting all the different vampires and seeing their different gifts. The vampire chart in the back of the book was especially helpful. I also love how Bella was able to antagonize Jane. That was a bit of payback for what she did to Edward in New Moon. Now I have a few comments on Rosalie. I still don't like her. I like that she helped Bella, but she had obvious ulterior motives. She was only helping Bella so that she could get a baby. I feel about Rosalie the same way I feel about Snape. I understand her, but I don't particularly like her.
Overall, I thought the book was awesome. It definitely had a different atmosphere and tone than the other three books, but it was still a good book, and one I would read again. I especially like that it had a happy ending. If Bella or Edward had died, I probably never would have picked up the book again. It will be interesting to see it made into a movie though. Oh and, I still wish I was a vampire. More than ever after this book
Stay smart people
