Oh man. *hugs* That's an awful blow. I hope you can take this and turn it around, now, into something that you can be proud of (even if it's a differnt kind of paper).
I know exactly what it's like to feel like a failure . . . particularly at something important that you care about. The whole job fiasco has been like that for me so far, but: I hope (and think) that maybe crashing can give a person a new, more determined start. Maybe. Don't let it drag you under, that's all.
Love you. We should hang out sometime if you have time/inclination.
*hugs* are *so* good. Thank you. I have gotten an new start. Shorter, better paper. And hey look, this time it's coming together. 'm sorry about the job thing, (and hey, good luck with all of that. Just saw your LJ.)
So much love. We should definitely get together. Especially now that I only have a normal course load this coming semester.
(Hey, english, whaddya think, Second half of the brit lit survey course or Victorian Medievalism?)
No problem, sweetie; shall have to give you some in person sometime.
I'm glad it's coming together this time. Hopefully, with some of the pressure off, you'll have fun. ^^
No worries about the job thing. It's discouraging, but stopping isn't an option, so I have to get somewhere at some point, eh? :p
Yes for getting together! You just let me know when you have some time (I'm still good for evenings and weekends, which include Fridays.)
(Well . . . knowing me, I'd totally do Victorian Medievalism. I'm impractical, and those are both favorite periods of mine . . . the thought is making me drool. But. Who is teaching each course?)
Yes. You shall one day get your dream job. (Honestly, I don't see why not)
once I'm done with this stuff we'll definitally have to see about getting together. I've been discussing various movie marathons with people here. One of which is vampires and another of which is british sitcoms so maybe you could come by for one of those if you're interested.
I'm definitaly leaning towards that one. The teachers are Cornelia Pearsall (I did like her) and I think Nancy Bradbury (who I've heard not so great stuff about)
*laughs* That would certainly be nice! Have to start at the bottom, though. :p
Awesome. Let me know. Marathons sound fun, as does just you-time in general. :)
(Well, I never had Nancy Bradbury. Cornelia I like, though she always weirds me out a little one-on-one. That explains why the class sounded so familiar, though; I ran into her on my lunch break a few weeks back, and we talked about a bunch of stuff, including what she's teaching.)
